International students have long played an important role in our graduate program. They currently represent about 20 countries from all over the world and compose approximately of 60% of the total graduate student body in our department.
All international students are guaranteed to receive full support on tuition, competitive salary and benefits through teaching and research assistantships as long as they are in good standing.
The Provo/Orem area is ranked as one of the "Best Places to Live in America" based on the quality of health care, low crime rate, economy, housing, education, transportation, weather, leisure activities, and the arts. It provides international students a safe and family-oriented environment with an abundance of cultural and recreational attractions. International students are often pleasantly surprised with the remarkably friendly atmosphere at BYU and in the surrounding communities.
We always encourage qualified international students to apply to our graduate program. Your application will be given personal attention and fair consideration. Most application materials should be directed to Graduate Studies at BYU. Please visit https://www.byu.edu/gradstudies/admissions/onlineapp.php for the online application.
