Someone once said that physical chemistry is the study of anything that’s interesting. The members of the physical chemistry area use a wide variety of experimental techniques and theoretical studies to understand the fundamental structure and properties of matter. The problems we investigate range from vibrational dynamics in solids at very low temperatures to chemical dynamics in gases at high temperatures.
