Chemistry Department Professor Daniel Ess's researchers are making strides with industrial chemistry catalysts.
Undergraduate and graduate students alike came together under Dr. Ess and Steven Maley, a post-doctoral scholar, to publish their research in academic journal Chemical Science. Using groundbreaking theories by Dr. Henry Eyring (father of Henry B. Eyring of the Church of Jesus Christ's general presidency) of the University of Utah, Ess's group has invented new techniques to resolve a common challenge in the field of petrochemicals.
