PhD Alumni Award Winners

This past weekend, the department held several graduate recruiting events where current and prospective graduate students had the opportunity to interact with alumni and discuss careers in chemistry. As a part of the weekend's events, alumni Whitney Walker (PhD '17) and Justin Park (PhD '19) received the PhD Alumni Award. The two were invited back due to their success in their post-graduate careers and they spoke to the students about how to get a job and how to further negotiate positions within a job. Walker is currently working at Boise State University where she was recently promoted to tenure-trach teaching faculty and Park works at Autoliv as a formulation chemist.
