Academics

BYU's Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry provides support for undergraduates and graduates alike by means of the various clubs and organizations on campus. Getting involved in the clubs listed below is a great way for undergraduate students to connect with the Department and their fellow students.

Women in Chemistry

BYU's Women in Chemistry Club (WIC) serves BYU chemists in pursuit of excellence. Its purpose is to build a community that inspires women to pursue scientific careers, support women in their scientific careers, and address issues in life quality. This club is available for  undergraduate and graduate students. Membership in and all of the opportunities provided by Women in Chemistry are available to all BYU students, regardless of sex, in compliance with BYU’s Nondiscrimination Policy.  Follow this link to join WIC and for further information about the club.

Y-Chem

Y-Chem is the student chapter of the American Chemical Society at Brigham Young University. The club strives to help involve students in volunteer opportunities, social events, professional development and community outreach. Follow this link to sign up and for additional club information.
